Halt & Catch Fire

Halt & Catch Fire is also technically historical, though focusing on a period in living memory: the early 1980s. The show will revolve around a group of electronics pioneers as they navigate the exploding personal computing boom of the time. Created by the journeyman writing team of Chris Cantwell and Chris Rodgers, it sounds as if Halt & Catch Fire is a dramatic reinterpretation of the rise of major computing figures such as Bill Gates and Steve Jobs.

Series premieres tonight on AMC.

Die Serie hatte ich vor ein paar Monaten auf dem Schirm, aber dann wieder aus den Augen verloren. Der Pilot lief schon und wird auf imdb mit 9,5 bewertet:

Die Story klingt ganz interessant. Ich werde heute auf jeden Fall mal reinschauen.

 

[Trolling Stone]

AMC ist sicher für Überraschungen gut, kommt insgesamt mit seinen Serien sicher nicht an HBO ran, aber auf Platz 2 sind sie für mich allein schon durch Breaking Bad. Und Walking Dead ist ebenfalls ein Quotenrenner, wenn auch die Qualität nicht durchgehend gut war (aber dank neuem Showrunner deutlich besser wurde und hoffentlich wird).
